Targeted for ages 6-10, it follows the adventures of four young girls as they learn to safely socialize during Covid 19.
The safe but fun adventures of Gracie, Lexie, Morgan, and Sophie continue as they attend school remotely. During Fall Break, all four families vacation at a tiny house resort in the woods. Their circle of friendship grows as they meet a new family with two boys, Connor and Patrick.
In this the third book of The Four Ever Friends Covid Trilogy, the girls discover that birthdays and holidays are quite different during a Pandemic. And they go on another trip with their friends and families...this time to the beach.
After weeks of staying home and quarantining during the Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020, four nine-year-old girls finally get to play together because their moms think they need more socialization. Gracie, Lexie, Morgan and Sophie are required to follow the rules and guidelines for social distancing. They form a special bond forged by their unique personalities and humorous adventures they share. They quickly become "The Four Ever Friends."
Inspired by the real-life adventures of four young girls and their moms, Darlene provides a story that takes a timely topic (isolation) and shows how something positive can be achieved in the midst of a world-wide Pandemic. The three books in The Four Ever Friends COVID Trilogy will be a valuable tool for teachers and parents who want to help children understand that it is possible to strengthen friendships and even have fun during difficult times. Children should read it now as they are experiencing this "new normal life."
In addition to the positive outcome realized by the girls, these books have contributed to another positive outcome of the pandemic. Darlene has always wanted to write a children's book. When the virus took away her ability to travel, she made use of her freed-up time and realized her dream. An added plus to the whole experience has been that her grandson, Collin Snyder, volunteered to do the illustrations.

Sketching was one of his hobbies as a child, and illustrating this book allowed him to revisit that early interest.
